A little bit about us.....
Little Gems Pre-School, previously known as Raynham Way Pre-School, are a committee run charity, founded in June 1984. We pride ourselves on our experienced staff and purpose built, well resourced setting.
We are located within the grounds of Wigmore Primary School in a purpose built, open plan building with a fabulous outside area. We provide the opportunity for your child to learn and develop in a friendly, caring environment with a wide range of activities.
We are registered to care for children aged 2 to 4 years 11 months and offer 15/30 hours funding for 3-4 year olds and 15 hours for 2 year old funded children. We also offer sessions for non-funded children, which are chargeable.
Little Gems are extremely proud to have been awarded "Good" by Ofsted during our December 2019 inspection. Click the following link to view our report https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/16/EY547634
Our Mission Statement, Vision & Curriculum
Little Gems recognise that each child is unique. We stimulate social, physical, emotional and intellectual development to allow children to grow as individuals, at their own pace.
Staff encourage children to think for themselves, make decisions and express their own ideas and feelings. We recognise that learning begins at home and work in partnership with parents to maintain a supportive environment for growth and development.
Our vision is to give each child a warm and safe environment that encourages the development of socialisation skills, independence and a positive self-image.

If you meet certain qualifying criteria, you will be able to claim 15 hours free childcare for your two year old, from the term after they turn two.
Children learn through play. Having a free place in an exciting, enjoyable and secure environment could give your two year old the best possible start in life.
That's 15 hours a week of playing, painting, reading, climbing, singing, dancing, dressing up, building, gardening or whatever they like doing. Most of all, your child is learning!
That's also 15 hours a week for you - giving you the chance to work, take up some training, education or studying.
